P233

The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining».

Chapter 10. The strong Angel came down from heaven, with an opened book in his hand. He put his right leg on the sea and his left on the ground and exclaimed that there won’t be time any longer. But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished,

Chapter 11. John is given the cane for measurement of the God's temple. And it is told: «measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.  But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months (3,5 years ). And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (3,5 years), clothed in sackcloth»…  «And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit (Antichrist) shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them...  And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified... And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them... And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell and in the earthquake was slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant was affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven».

So, in the prophecy about the last days it is said about the temple in the «holy city» Jerusalem («great city» is  Babylon). Thus, we have the basis to assume that the temple in Jerusalem will be restored, and the prophecy of Daniel about 2300 evenings and mornings before the Sanctuary is cleansed (8:14), as well as almost all the prophecies, has double meaning (see p. 215) and also refers to the last days. It says that from the restoration of the temple up to Jesus' arrival 2300 days will pass (6 years 3 months). Two prophets are, most likely, resurrected Elijah (Malachi 4:5) and Daniel (Dan. 12:13).

«And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever... And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail» (11:15).

«…In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed» (1 Cor.15:52);

«For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord» (1Thes.4:16);

Like Lazarus came out of the grave millions of people will be resurrected from dead by Jesus' word.
